HORROR VACUI, which means ‘fear of the void’ in Latin, is the term used in art to describe the desire to fill all empty surfaces with depictions or ornaments, particularly in painting and relief. The name was chosen by designer Anna Heinrichs for her fashion label founded in 2014 in Munich.
